Initiating a Domain Name Transfer

If you have a domain name registered with Network Solutions, please read the section below entitled "Network Solutions Domain Name Transfer." If you have a domain name registered with another registrar (such as Register.com) you will need to provide us your username/account number and password. If you have a country code domain name, you will need to contact the proper NIC and arrange for the transfer. If you are arranging the transfer yourself, our nameserver information is as follows:

Network Solutions Domain Name Transfer

If you are switching from another hosting provider, or you have registered your name through Network Solutions, you will want to transfer it to your new HostMySite.com website. If your domain was registered recently, you will need to provide us your account number and password for us to make the change.

If your domain uses the older email template system, ImageAid.net will initiate a transfer request. You will receive the transfer form via email and you need to approve it with the following steps.

You need to send the transfer form back to Network Solutions at notify@internic.net. You can do this in most mail clients by simply hitting reply.

Before you send the form, you must indicate your approval for the transfer. To do this, you must put MAIL-FROM on line 0a and a Y on line 1a of the form, to the RIGHT of the "....:" . A correctly completed form looks like this:

Once you have placed the MAIL-FROM on line 0a and Y on line 1a, you should send the form back to Internic. The transfer process normally takes 1 to 3 days and Internic should send you confirmation when it is done. It is very important that you include the MAIL-FROM AND Y (indicating approval) on the form and put it in the right place. Without this, the transfer request will be ignored by Internic.

If you have any further questions, please contact our support department at support@imageaid.net If you do not receive a transfer approval form from Internic, you should let us know immediately. Without your approval, the transfer cannot take place.
